This Recipe is one for my lazy vegans friends ;)
-1 cup Brown Basmati Rice
-14 (ounce) can Crushed Tomatoes
-1 package of ToFurky Italian Sausage (we get ours from Wegmans) - slice all links
-2 Green Bell Peppers - cut into small squares (size to your liking)
-Earth Balance Butter
-1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder
-1/4 teaspoon Sea Salt
-Cayenne pepper - to taste
-Red Pepper Flakes -to taste
** Fresh Italian Bread
-Start to cook your rice (follow direction on package).
-In the Largest saute pan you have heat up Earth Balance butter, enough to coat the bottom of the pan.
-When butter is heated add your chopped green peppers and cut up Italian "Sausage" and saute on medium heat until the "sausage" is a bit brown.
-After the "sausage" appears brown on the edges add crushed tomatoes and mix well.
-Turn heat on low and wait till your rices is done.
-When rice is done add a tablespoon of earth balance butter, add rice to saute pan with your Italian "sausage", green peppers and mix well.
**Slice up your fresh Italian bread, spread on some Earth Balance Butter.
Your Italian Bread is your new fork. ;)
