Candied Carrots

The one thing I love about the summer months is the Farmers markets and their awesome selection of veggies! Check out this simple recipe for Candied Carrots. Even our pups ready are to start taste testing ;)

Easy, great tasting side dishes with tuns of color is where it's at!!


Ingredients: 

-2 cups carrots (washed, peeled & sliced)
-3 table spoons Earth Balance Butter
-1 table spoons Soy Sauce 
-2 table spoons Brown Rice Syrup or you can use Agave Nectar
-1 table spoon dried Basil


Directions:

-Steam Carrots until tender
-While Carrots are steaming melt "butter" in saute pan and add remaining ingredients. 
-When Carrots are done, Place tender carrots in baking dish
-Pour mixture that is in saute pan over Carrots and bake in oven at 350 for about 6-7 minutes.
